Battery Charging
Use only the battery chargers listed on the accessories
page. Only these battery chargers are matched to the lith-
ium-ion battery pack used in your vacuum cleaner.
Note: The battery supplied is partially charged. To ensure full
capacity of the battery, completely charge the battery in the
battery charger before using your power tool for the first time.
The lithium-ion battery can be charged at any time without re-
ducing its service life. Interrupting the charging procedure
does not damage the battery.
The lithium-ion battery is protected against deep discharging
by the “Electronic Cell Protection (ECP)”. When the battery is
empty, the machine is switched off by means of a protective
circuit: The inserted tool no longer rotates.
After the automatic shut-off of the vacuum cleaner, do
not continue to press the On/Off button. The battery
pack could become damaged.
A significantly reduced working period after charging indi-
cates that the battery is used and must be replaced.
Observe the notes for disposal.
Battery Charge-control Indication
The three green LEDs of the battery charge-control indicator
3 show the charging status of the battery 5. The battery
charge-control indicator only illuminates for 3 seconds after
start-up.
When no LED lights up after switching on, then the battery is
defective and must be replaced.
Battery Insertion/Removal (see figures A1 – A2)
Do not use force to insert the battery. The battery is de-
signed in such a way that it can only be inserted into the
vacuum cleaner when it is in the right position.
– Slide the battery 5 all the way into the battery compart-
ment 11.
– To remove the battery pack 5, press the unlocking buttons
12 and pull the battery pack out of the battery port 11.
Mounting the Crevice Nozzle (see figure B)
Remove the battery before cleaning or performing
maintenance on the vacuum cleaner, making tool ad-
justments, changing accessories or storing the vacuum
cleaner. This safety measure prevents the vacuum cleaner
from being started accidentally.
The crevice nozzle 9 can be connected directly to the dust
chamber 8.
– Firmly insert the crevice nozzle 9 into the intake port 10 on
the dust chamber 8 with the mark shown in the illustration
facing down.
