Read this user manual carefully before you use the appliance and save it

for future reference.

Danger

- Use 2 x AA batteries.

- Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.

- Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the appliance before

charging it.

- Dierent types of batteries or new and used batteries are not to be

mixed.

- Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity.

- Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the appliance and

safely disposed of.

- If the appliance is to be stored or unused for a long period, the

batteries should be removed.

- The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.

- Keep the appliance dry.

- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above

and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities

or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given

supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe

way and understand the hazards involved.

- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with

the appliance.

- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children

without supervision.

- Keep the appliance out of the reach of children.

- Never immerse the appliance in water.

- Children shall not play with the appliance.

- Do not open and remove the blade guard during use.

- Do not use the appliance if it shows visible damage or if the blade

unit or blade guard is broken.

- Do not let pointed objects come into contact with the blades during use.

- Do not switch on the appliance when performing cleaning and

maintenance.

- Keep your ngers and hand away from the blades during cleaning

and maintenance.

- The appliance is intended for garments only.

Electromagnetic elds (EMF)

This Philips appliance complies with all applicable standards and regula-

tions regarding exposure to electromagnetic elds.

Using the appliance

Make sure you smooth out the garment on a at surface. Do not press

the appliance onto the garment too hard. Do not use the appliance on

embroideries, zips, buttons and loose threads.

Inserting and removing the batteries

For inserting and removing the batteries, open the cover at the back of

the appliance. Ensure that batteries are inserted with the correct polarity

indicated.

Cleaning and maintenance

Always switch o the appliance and remove the batteries before you

clean the appliance.

Recycling

- Do not throw away the product with the normal household waste

at the end of its life, but hand it in at an ocial collection point for

recycling. By doing this, you help to preserve the environment.

- This product contains disposable batteries which shall not be

disposed of with normal household waste.

- Follow your country’s rules for the separate collection of electrical

and electronic products and batteries. Correct disposal helps prevent

negative consequences for the environment and human health.

Removing disposable batteries

Always remove empty disposable batteries from the product. Take any

necessary safety precautions when you dispose of batteries.
