PARTS

HOW TO USE

1. Place the unit on a flat, even surface and keep horizontal.

2. Press the ON/TARE switch. 8888 will be displayed.

After approximately 2 seconds, the display will change to

0.0. The unit is then ready to use.

3. Place the object to be weighed on the weighing tray. The

display will indicate the weight of the object. If the weight

exceeds the units maximum capacity, the letters EEEE

will be displayed, indicating an overload.

4. TARE Function

While the scale is on, place the container to be tared on

the weighing tray. The display will indicate the weight of

the container. Press the ON/TARE switch and the dis-

play will then indicate 0.0. When an object to be weighed

is placed in the container, only the weight of the object

will be displayed. Additional objects can be weighed

individually by pressing the ON/TARE switch each time

and returning the display to 0.0. This can be continued

until the maximum weighing capacity has been reached.

5. Auto Power Off

If weighing has been completed and the weight on the

scale has not changed for 3 minutes, the scale will auto-

matically switch off, to save battery life.

6. Battery Replacement

If the display indicates LO, press the OFF switch and

replacethe batteries.

WARNING

The unit may not display 0.0 if a heavy weight of more

than 100g is placed on the weighing tray or if the unit

receives a hard shock. In this case, press the ON/TARE

switch, check that the unit displays 0.0 and weigh again.

If the scale will not be used for a long time, store with the

batteries removed. If not, battery leakage may occur, dam-

aging the unit.

CAUTIONS

This scale is a precision instrument and must be used under

certain conditions to ensure accurate measurement. Please

observe the following when using this scale:

1. Never disassemble the unit.

2. Use in a vibration-free location that is not exposed to

direct sunlight.

3. The scale will not measure accurately in an environment

subject to large temperature changes. The unit takes ap-

proximately two hours to adjust to such changes.

4. Keep water and chemicals off the scale. Wipe with a

damp cloth from time to time.

5. Do not use or store near heat sources (ovens, heaters,

etc.). (Optimum operating temperature 59°-77°F/15°-25°C)

6. If not using for a long time, remove the batteries and store

the unit in a dry, dust-free location.

7. Check and replace batteries before sending the unit for

repair. If repair is necessary, remove the batteries, repack

the unit in the original carton and protect with packing

materials before shipment.

8. Do not leave objects on the weighing tray when the scale

is not in use.

Gebrauchsanweisung

1. Stellen Sie das Gerät auf einen flachen Untergrund ohne

Unebenheiten. Achten Sie darauf, daß das Gerät waagrecht

steht.

2. Drücken Sie auf die Taste ON/TARE. In der Anzeige

erscheint 8888. Nach ca. 2 Sekunden wechselt die

Anzeige zu 0.0.. Das Waage ist nun betriebsbereit.

3. Legen Sie den zu wiegenden Gegenstand auf die

Wiegefläche. Das Gewicht des Gegenstandes wird

angezeigt. Wenn der Gegenstand mehr wiegt als die

maximale Wiegekapazität der Waage, wird EEEE

angezeigt (Überlast-Anzeige).

4. Tarieren

Stellen Sie bei eingeschaltetem Gerät den zu tarierenden

Behälter auf die Wiegefläche. In der Anzeige erscheint

das Gewicht des Behälters. Drücken Sie danach auf den

ON/TARE-Schalter, so daß in der Anzeige wieder 0.0

(bzw. 0.000) erscheint. Sie können weitere Gegenstände

wiegen, indem sie jedesemal erst die Taste ON/TARE

drücken und die Anzeige dadurch auf 0.0 zurücksetzen.

Damit können Sie so lange fortfahren, bis die maximale

Wiegekapazität erreicht ist.

5. Automatisches Abschalten

Sobald der Wiegevorgang abgeschlossen ist und das

Gewicht auf der Waage sich drei Minuten lang nicht

geändert hat, schaltet sich das Gerät automatisch ab, um

die Batterien zu schonen.

6. Auswechseln der Batterien

Wenn in der Anzeige LO erscheint, drücken Sie auf die

Taste OFF und ersetzen Sie die Batterien.

WARNUNG

Es kann sein, daß das Gerät 0.0 nicht mehr anzeigt,

wenn ein schwerer Gegenstand von mehr als 100g auf

die Wiegefläche gelegt wird, oder wenn das Gerät einen

starken Stoß erhält. Drücken Sie in diesem Fall auf den

Schalter ON/TARE, prüfen Sie, ob das Gerät nun 0.0

anzeigt, und wiederholen Sie den Wiegevorgang.

Wenn die Waage längere Zeit nicht verwendet wird, lagern

Sie es ohne Batterien. Andernfalls könnten die Batterien

auslaufen und das Gerät beschädigen.

VORSICHT

Diese Waage ist ein Präzisionsinstrument. Genaue

Messungen setzen die Einhaltung bestimmter

Gebrauchsbedingungen voraus. Beachten Sie bei der

Nutzung dieser Waage bitte folgende Vorschriften:

1. Bauen Sie das Gerät niemals auseinander.

2. Verwenden Sie es an einem vibrationsfreien Ort, an dem

das Gerät keiner direkten Sonneneinstrahlung ausgesetzt

ist.

3. Bei großen Temperaturschwankungen kann das Gerät

keine genauen Wiegeeergebnisse erzielen. Es dauert ca.

zwei Stunden, bis sich das Gerät an solche

Temperaturwechsel angepaßt hat.

4. Vermeiden Sie Kontakt mit Wasser oder Chemikalien.

Wischen Sie das Gerät hin und wieder mit einem feuchten

Tuch ab.

5. Vermeiden Sie Gebrauch oder Lagerung in der Nähe von

Wärmequellen (Öfen, Heizung etc.).

6. Wenn Sie es längere Zeit nicht verwenden, entfernen Sie

die Batterien und lagern Sie das Gerät in trockener,

staubfreier Umgebung.

7. Bevor Sie das Gerät zur Reparatur einsenden, überprüfen

und ersetzen Sie bitte die Batterien. Wenn eine Reparatur

notwendig ist, verpacken Sie vor dem Versand das Gerät

im Originalkarton und schützen Sie es mit geeigneten

Packmaterialien..

8. Lassen Sie keine Gegenstände auf der Wiegefläche

liegen, wenn die Waage nicht verwendet wird.

COMPOSANTS

MODE DUTILISATION

1. Posez lunité sur une surface plane et uniforme et

maintenez-la horizontale.

2. Appuyez sur la touche de mise sous tension ON/TARE.

La mention 8888 saffiche. Lécran indique 0.0 au bout

de 2 secondes environ. Lunité est prête.

3. Posez lobjet à peser sur le plateau de pesée. Lécran

indique le poids de lobjet. Si le poids dépasse la capacité

maximale de la balance, la mention EEEE saffiche

pour signaler une surcharge.

4. La fonction TARE

Lorsque la balance est sous tension (ON), posez le

récipient dont vous voulez faire la tare sur le plateau de

pesée. Lécran indique le poids de ce récipient. Appuyez

ensuite sur la touche ON/TARE, lécran indique 0.0.

Lorsque vous placez un objet à peser dans le récipient,

seul le poids de cet objet saffiche. Vous pouvez peser

dautres objets individuellement en appuyant sur la tou-

che ON/TARE et en réinitialisant à chaque fois lécran

(0.0.). Vous pouvez continuer cette opération jusquà ce

que la capacité de pesée maximale soit atteinte.

5. Arrêt automatique

Si la pesée est terminée et que le poids sur le plateau na

pas changé au bout de 3 minutes, la balance se met

automatiquement hors tension afin déconomiser les piles.

6. Remplacement des piles

Si lécran indique LO, appuyez sur la touche OFF et

remplacez les piles.

AVERTISSEMENT

Lunité ne doit pas afficher 0.0 si vous avez posé un

poids supérieur à 100 g sur le plateau de pesée ou si

lunité reçoit un choc. Dans ce cas, appuyez sur le bou-

ton ON/TARE, vérifiez si lunité affiche 0.0 et

recommencez la pesée.

Si vous nutilisez pas la balance pendant un certain temps,

rangez-la après avoir retiré les piles de leur compartiment,

sinon elles risquent de fuir et dendommager lunité.

PRECAUTIONS

Cette balance est un instrument de précision qui doit être

utilisé dans certaines conditions afin de fournir des mesures

exactes. Veuillez observer les consignes dutilisation

suivantes:

1. Ne démontez jamais lunité.

2. Utilisez-la dans un endroit qui nest pas soumis à des

vibrations, ni exposé à la lumière directe du soleil.

3. La balance ne fournira pas de mesures précises dans un

environnement soumis à de brusques changements de

températures. Il faudra à peu près deux heures à lunité

pour sadapter à de tels changements.

4. Évitez de nettoyer la balance à leau et avec des produits

chimiques. Essuyez-la de temps à autre avec un chiffon

humide.

5. Ne lutilisez pas ou ne la rangez pas à proximité de sources

de chaleur (fours, radiateurs, etc.).

6. Si vous ne lutilisez pas pendant un certain temps, rangez-

la dans un endroit sec et à labri de la poussière, après

avoir retiré les piles de leur compartiment.

7. Avant denvoyer la balance à la réparation, vérifiez les

piles et remplacez-les. Utilisez le carton dorigine et

protégez lunité par des matériaux de conditionnement

avant de lexpédier.

8. Ne posez pas dobjets sur le plateau de pesée lorsque la

balance est hors service.

GEBRUIKSAANWIJZING

1.Plaats het toestel op een vlakke en gelijkmatige

ondergrond die horizontaal is.

2. Druk op de ON/TARE-toets. De display toont 8888. Na

ongeveer 2 seconden geeft de display 0.0 aan. Het toestel

is dan klaar voor gebruik.

3. Plaats het te wegen artikel op het weegvlak. De display

geeft nu het gewicht van het artikel aan. Als het gewicht

boven de maximale waarde van het toestel komt, wordt

dit in de display aangegeven met EEEE, ter aanduiding

van overbelasting.

4. Tarreren

Plaats terwijl de weegschaal aanstaat, het te tarreren bakje

op het weegvlak. De display toont nu het gewicht van het

bakje. Druk op de ON/TARE-toets. De display geeft nu

0.0. aan. Als nu het artikel op het weegvlak geplaatst

wordt terwijl het zich in het bakje bevindt, wordt alleen het

gewicht van het artikel getoond. U kunt andere artikelen

steeds apart wegen, door iedere keer op de ON/TARE-

toets te drukken, waardoor de display iedere keer op 0.0.

springt. Hier kunt u mee doorgaan totdat u het maximale

weegvermogen hebt bereikt.

5. Automatische uitschakeling

Als u klaar bent met wegen en het gewicht op de

weegschaal is gedurende 3 minuten niet veranderd, dan

schakelt de weegschaal zichzelf automatisch uit om

batterijen te sparen.

6. Batterijen vervangen

Als LO in de display verschijnt, druk dan op de OFF-

toets en vervang de batterijen.

WAARSCHUWING

De aanduiding 0.0 (of 0.000) verschijnt niet, als een te

zwaar gewicht van meer dan 100g op het weegvlak

aanwezig is, of als het toestel een harde schok ervaart.

Als dit gebeurt, druk dan op de ON/TARE-toets, kijk of de

display 0.0 (of 0.000) aangeeft, en weeg opnieuw.

Als het apparaat voor langere tijd niet wordt gebruikt,

verwijder dan de batterijen voordat u het apparaat opbergt.

Als u dit niet doet, kunnen de batterijen gaan lekken en

kan de weegschaal beschadigd worden.

WAARSCHUWINGEN

Deze weegschaal is een precisie-instrument en kan alleen

bij de juiste omstandigheden nauwkeurige metingen

garanderen. Neem bij gebruik van deze weegschaal de

volgende punten in acht:

1. Neem het toestel nooit uit elkaar.

2. Gebruik een trillingvrije ondergrond en stel het niet bloot

aan direct zonlicht.

3. De weegschaal weegt niet nauwkeurig in een omgeving

met grote temperatuursverschillen. Het toestel heeft

gewoonlijk twee uur nodig om zich aan dergelijke

veranderingen aan te passen.

4.Laat de weegschaal niet in contact komen met

chemicaliën of water. Reinig hem zo nu en dan met een

vochtige doek.

5. Gebruik of berg hem niet op bij een warmtebron (ovens,

verwarmingen, enz.).

6. Als het toestel gedurende langere tijd niet wordt gebruikt,

verwijder dan de batterijen en berg het op in een droge,

stofvrije ruimte.

7. Controleer en vervang zonodig de batterijen, voordat u de

weegschaal voor reparatie opstuurt. Als hij gerepareerd

moet worden, verwijder dan de batterijen en verstuur het

in de originele verpakking voorzien van beschermend

verpakkingsmateriaal.

8. Laat geen voorwerpen op het weegvlak liggen als de

weegschaal niet wordt gebruikt.
